The lesson starts with a short audio, one and a half minutes long. The subject is artificial diamonds, which are grown in a laboratory. Because the entire process is controlled, artificial diamonds are cheaper than natural ones, although it is impossible to distinguish them. The text is also transcribed, for students to check their understanding. New words are listed, with definitions in Russian and the English translation. There are four self-study exercises, covering participles, adjectives and prepositions.
